It would be interesting to see an example of the artifacts. Generally, when you try to convert postscript to pixel data, you have to specify the resolution to use, the higher the resolution, the better the output image. I suspect that by default 72 dpi is used which is not very satisfactory. Try rather to use 300 dpi. Peter
